AMBUSH® Resort SS23 Embodies the Evolution of Tokyo
Exploring signature and new silhouettes.
For AMBUSH®’s Resort Spring/Summer 2023 collection, creative director Yoon Ahn reflects on her time living in Tokyo and the city’s constant evolution. Comprised of a variety of personalities and vibrant styles, the brand’s latest collection captures the multidimensional vibrancy of Japan’s capital.
To celebrate this spirit, the SS23 pre-collection channels signature AMBUSH® silhouettes while also putting forth new identities. Featuring an almost fully unisex offering, the collection garments harbor relaxed silhouettes showcased by wide nylon pants, oversized shirts and loose-fit tracksuits. What enhances the roomy constructions is the inclusion of several design styles like sportswear, workwear and motorsport. Workwear and motorsport styles serve as collection highlights with dolman sleeve mechanic shirts and denim motorbike jackets in blue, charcoal and flamingo pink.
In typical AMBUSH® fashion, tailoring is present in blazers and overcoats that fuse contemporary and 90s dress notes. In addition to their blended style notes, tailored pieces appear in shades of racing green, black and cerulean. Elsewhere in the collection are long-sleeve and bowling shirts in shades of tangerine and pink with graphic detailing that pays homage to Shibuya rave and house culture, in addition to cargo pants, knit tops and t-shirts.
Accessories take shape in heart padlock jewelry, large ball chain chokers, monogram jewelry, leather heart bags and more. Finishing off the pre-collection are unisex footwear offerings including the biker boot, rubber boots, rubber slides and runners.
