In recent years, New Balance has pushed itself to stay at the forefront of footwear with an expansive portfolio of collaborations. Maintaining this position, the American sportswear brand joined UK-based Mowalola for its Spring/Summer 2023 runway show in Paris. Named “Burglarwear,” the collection drew inspiration from thieves with various characters presented on the runway. The connection between Mowalola Ogunlesi’s eponymous label and New Balance arrived with two colorways of the New Balance 90/60 that featured during the show.

The 90/60 serves as a hybrid model that pulls technology from the 990 series and running shoe styles such as the 860. Key components include a stretched “N” logo, diamond shaped outsole, badge on the tongue and a split at the heel. The two colorways utilize black as the base with the first carrying purple overlays and branding while the second favors teal. The look is then completed by yellow and pink accents respectively.

Both pairs are expected to release in Fall 2022 via New Balance and select retailers.

In other New Balance news, the next chapter of Stone Island x New Balance Tokyo Design Studio arrives with the FuelCell RC Elite V2.
