Stone Island Digs Into the Archives for a Special-Edition Anorak
Modeled after a 1984 edition.
Since its founding in 1982, Stone Island has been known for its special approach to elevated technical wear due to its special fabrics and dying techniques. In celebration of its 40th anniversary, the brand continues this mission by digging into its archives for a special edition anorak.
For the new offering, the label produced a replica of the Raso Gommato Colored Cover anorak from the spring/summer season of 1984. Still true to the signature fabrication, the updated piece is comprised of 100% organic cotton and special polymers. Dipped in dandelion yellow, the piece has been garment-dyed with a perfluorocarbons-free anti-drop agent.
Additionally, the garment is outfitted with raw edge seams, a chest pocket and standing hand pockets. Finishing off the piece is an archival compass patch and a Stone Island Marina print on the left sleeve.
Check out the special-edition replica anorak above that is available in Stone Island stores and on the brand’s website.
