Today’s streetwear industry is home to countless numbers of brands, but few possess as deep of heritage as Stüssy, especially when it comes to footwear collaborations. The streetwear stalwart has tallied up an impressive amount of projects with Nike, and now it’s about to enrich this catalog even further this season with a brand new Air Force 1 Mid capsule.

Being that 2022 marks the 40th anniversary of the Nike Sportswear icon, the SoCal-based imprint was tapped to apply its touch to multiple colorways of the silhouette. So far we’ve seen an official look at the upcoming black and white colorway, and makeup that bears black uppers with snakeskin-covered Swooshes as well as a hemp-infused “Fossil” installment that resembles that of the brand’s low-slung team-up from 2020. Stüssy took to IG to announce that the collaboration will debut on May 13, 2022 in the form of an image that shows the black and white pair turned upside down to empty out a mound of sand. This pair is fitted with Stüssy branding atop the heels, straps and toe boxes.
