May has arrived, and the world’s biggest footwear brands have a handsome slate of new drops for savvy sneakerheads to indulge in over the coming days. For this installment of our Weekly Footwear Drops, Nike, Jordan Brand, Converse, adidas and more all have new offerings to release, but before we get to those let’s first take you through all of the goodness that transpired last week.

On the exclusive content front, Blackstock & Weber’s founder and creative director Chris Echevarria shared his love for his Ellis Penny Loafer with HYPEBEAST on the latest installment of Sole Mates. Lots of striking items sprung up on the news side, especially from Nike as we finally got release info for the Kobe 6 Protro “Mambacita Sweet 16,” captured a closer look at Nike ISPA’s disassembled ISPA Link and ISPA Link Axis models and took a tour of the brand’s 1 million-square-foot Serena Williams building. Jordan Brand also revealed a couple of its upcoming launches such as the Air Jordan 4 “Black Canvas” and Air Jordan 5 “Regal Pink.”

The Three Stripes brought the noise as well by revealing the adidas YEEZY BOOST 700 “Hi-Res Red” and the laceless adidas YEEZY BOOST 700 MNVN “Phosphor,” as well as the a Forum collaboration with BSTN that pays tribute to European basketball. Other brands that chimed in include Converse which announced its two-pronged collaboration with pgLang, PUMA which unveiled its MB.01 “Galaxy” colorway and Reebok which previewed its next Club C Mid II collab with Mountain Research.

Now that you’re all caught up, scroll down to view this week’s top sneaker releases. And when you conclude with those, be sure to browse through the HBX online store to cop more footwear styles.

Air Jordan 1 “Utility”

Release Date: May 3
Release Price: $175 USD
Where to Buy: SNKRS
Why You Should Cop: It’s always refreshing to see when Jordan Brand takes their retro models and spruce them up with an unorthodox twist. That’s exactly the case for the Air Jordan 1 “Utility” which takes a utilitarian design approach as it comes styled with outdoor-inspired durable canvas, webbing pulls and an oversized pocket cache that’s attached to the rear end.

DRKSHDW x Converse TURBOWPN “Egret” and “Clay”

Release Date: May 3
Release Price: $200 USD
Where to Buy: Converse
Why You Should Cop: Rick Owens’ DRKSHDW has reunited with Converse for a duo of TURBOWPN collaborations. This silhouette is essentially a reimagined version of the classic Converse Weapon model, and comes shaped with distorted proportions. “Egret” and “Clay” colorways are slated to release, both of which come formatted with elongated tongues, puffy collars and stretched platform soles.

Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals “JS New Wings”

Release Date: May 5
Release Price: $180 USD
Where to Buy: CONFIRMED
Why You Should Cop: After getting nearly a dozen celebrities luxuriously fitted for yesterday’s MET Gala, Jeremy Scott now diverts our attention to his ongoing partnership with adidas. Next on his agenda is a duo of “JS New Wings” colorways that come in “Black/White” and “White/Black” color schemes. The kicks come minimally styled with smooth leather uppers and matching bottoms, as well as the iconic oversized wings and Jeremy Scott’s face graphic on the interior of the tongues.

Nike Dunk Low “Animal”

Release Date: May 5
Release Price: $110 USD
Where to Buy: Nike
Why You Should Cop: Animal patterns have always been a trendy design detail when it comes to Nike Dunks, but this forthcoming variation takes it to a whole new level. In patchwork fashion, this latest installment mixes safari patterns and cheetah graphics along with woodgrain textures and multi-colored accents to form a busy-yet-striking makeup.

Supreme x Nike Zoom Air Flight 95

Release Date: May 5
Release Price: TBC
Where to Buy: Supreme
Why You Should Cop: Supreme has a penchant for collaborating with Nike on silhouettes that are obscure and out of the mainstream. This season, the NY-based streetwear giant is continuing that trend by reworking a trio of Nike Zoom Flight 95 colorways with paisley graphics. The bandana-inspired prints decorate a majority of the real estate and Supreme branding arrives in repeating fashion around the “bug eye” midsole pieces.

Reebok Answer IV “54 Points”

Release Date: May 6
Release Price: $150 USD
Where to Buy: Reebok
Why You Should Cop: Allen Iverson was absolutely lethal on the basketball court during his prime playing days with the Philadelphia 76ers, and one of his most memorable highlights was Game 2 of the 2001 Eastern Conference Semifinals when he racked up an impressive 54 points. This newest Answer IV colorway is a homage to that point guard’s moment and features a crispy clean white and gray color scheme.

BBC x Reebok Zig Kinetica II “Digi-Camo”

Release Date: May 6
Release Price: $150 USD
Where to Buy: BBC
Why You Should Cop: Billionaire Boys Club and Reebok are setting out to continue their ongoing partnership by teaming up on the Zig Kinetica II Edge. Together, they’ve concocted a fresh “Digi-Camo” colorway that is inspired by the functionality and tactical use of military garb. Aside from the camouflage graphics that take up most of the space, the kicks also have wavy white stitchings across the side walls and heel overlays dyed in a dusty olive green.

Tyrell Winston x Reebok Club C/Question Mid

Release Date: May 6 (Tyrell Winston drop)
Release Price: $120 USD
Where to Buy: Tyrell Winston
Why You Should Cop: Tyrell Winston — a NY-based artist known for his unique deflated basketball installations — is diving into the world of footwear for a two-pronged project with Reebok. For his collab, he applies his touch to the Question Mid and Club C, both of which are done up with minimal details and neutral tones that channel the art of focus. Why You Should Cop: Kanye West has produced many different silhouettes with adidas since signing with the brand in 2015, and the YEEZY 450 is certainly one of his wildest.
