Before Manchester City reached its heights under the leadership of manager Pep Guardiola and club owner Sheikh Mansour, the club’s prior history was cemented within the era of 1967 to 1971 where the club was known for its style and swagger.

When the team went on to win every domestic title and the European Cup Winners’ Cup, they did it in a way that still inspires the new generation of Cityzens half a century on. This season, Manchester City F.C. and PUMA have honored the team of swashbuckling entertainers and their leader: club icon Colin Bell. The former front-man for the club – who experienced his success in sky blue between 1966 and 1979, scoring 153 goals in the process – has become an integral figure for the club, and is the main inspiration behind this new home jersey.

The 2022/23 home kit – made from 100% recycled polyester – echos the classic designs from Bell’s era, placing the club crest at the center, while reintroduced burgundy trims have been included on the sleeve cuffs and neckline. Looking into the finer details, a crown logo has also been included in the neckline that pays tribute to “Colin the King.”

In addition to the new home jersey, the latest goalkeeper kit has also been released, aptly named “Ederson’s Kit.” Designed in a striking orange colorway, it features the PUMA cat logo on the right chest and both sleeves, while the kit has also been crafted using dryCELL: highly-functioning materials that draw sweat away from the skin to allow wearers to stay dry and comfortable during exercise.

The Manchester City F.C. home jerseys are available on the PUMA’s official website now, as well as the Manchester City online store.

In other news, Arsenal has also launched its new home jersey.
