Vault by Vans has partnered up with fashion designer Imran Potato for a sneaker capsule featuring the creative’s quirky patterns and illustrations. Imran has been known to disrupt the fashion landscape with his DIY creations and guerilla marketing approach to gain a cult following. He’s renowned for his retro video-game graphics, custom sneaker designs and satirical luxury brand logos. Celebs and music artists such as Migos, Trippie Redd and Sheck Wes are just some of the big names that wear Imran Potato clothing.

With Vault by Vans, the KNU SKOOL VR3 LX and SK8-HI® VR3 LX models were utilized for Imran Potato’s subversive designs. The KNU SKOOL VR3 LX silhouettes in the range feature an overstuffed tongue, thick cotton laces and custom printed Potato waffle sole. There are cheetah print options, as well as a classic black and white rendition. The other three selections in the collective are the SK8-HI® VR3 LX designs emblazoned with human hands illustrations. “The concept is an inspired evolution of the viral and satirically comical Potato Caveman Slippers,” according to Vans. The Potato Caveman Slippers are perhaps one of Imran Potato’s most viral product releases to date. Furthermore, the whole sneaker capsule is part of Vans’ VR3 initiative — “the brand’s journey towards 100% regenerative, responsibly sourced renewable and recycled materials for the brands top four materials by 2030.”

The Vault by Vans x Imran Potato collection will be available on imranpotato.com beginning May 18 and available on Vans.com/vault and at select Vault by Vans retailers beginning May 21. Additionally, Imran Potato will release a run of limited apparel and goods to coincide with his Vault by Vans release through imranpotato.com site as well.
