Takashi Murakami and RTFKT Honor 'Clone X' NFT Collab With Custom Chains
The Crown Collection exclusively made four pieces for the team.

Following the Clone X NFT collaboration release between Takashi Murakami and RTFKT, the latter’s CEO and Co-Founder Steven Zaptio sought out Ryan Rehbock of The Crown Collection to fashion four custom chains to commemorate the partnership.
The chains made slightly resemble those worn by a number of 3-D characters from the 20,000 digitally-generated series which were created exclusively for Zaptio, Murakami and two other team members. On one end of an 18k white gold Miami Cuban link chain is Murakami’s signature flower motif which also serves as a lock while the other end showcases the RTFKT logo given a striking animated Murakami treatment. Rehbock utilized natural gemstones such as tsavorite garnet, yellow sapphire, blue & purple topaz, pink sapphire, and ruby which are surrounded by detailed enamel work.
Further solidifying the fruitful collaboration, a large-scale sculpture piece of the stylized RTFKT design will make an appearance at Murakami’s three-part “An Arrow through History” exhibition at Gagosian, New York City on May 11.
