Official Images of the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Mambacita Sweet 16”

Now that Vanessa Bryant and Kobe Bryant‘s estate have reached an agreement with Nike to continue releasing products from his signature line, the time is coming when we can finally see more Mamba kicks drop to the masses. And the first item that is on Nike Basketball’s agenda is the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Mambacita Sweet 16” colorway which has now been officially unveiled.

The kicks are a fitting tribute to the Laker legend, his late daughter Gigi Bryant as well as the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation. Inside the lateral windows, you’ll find a gilded #2 which represents Gigi’s uniform number for her AAU squad. The rear end’s heel molds swap out the traditional Kobe signature for the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation insignia, and underneath arrives Kobe’s moniker on the left shoe while Gigi’s adorns the right side. Insoles are styled to further honor Gigi with “Mambacita” spell outs, angel wings, a halo and another #2 hit. A majority of the kicks come dressed up with stark black snake scales while notes of white touch down on the Swooshes, Mamba tongue logos and leather back panels.

Nike should be confirming an official release date soon, and note that they will retail for $180 USD. Additionally, all proceeds from this launch will benefit the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation.
