New Balance 992 Surfaces With an Easter-Friendly Palette Ahead of Spring
The lifestyle model gets splashed with a bevy of pastels.
New Balance has intentions of beefing up its lifestyle catalog with a plethora of new colorways this Spring, and one silhouette that will be showing up on the frontlines is the 992. While Easter is still a couple of months away, this latest installment to release chooses to dress in a plethora of pastel hues that align with the April holiday.
Think of all of the traditional colors that you’d find in an Easter egg hunt, and you’ll notice them on these vivid kicks. One adjustment that the New Balance design team made here is that is decorated the underlays with chevron patterns, and these come filled in with a bright blue towards the collars and a soft green across the toe boxes. Dusted yellows cover the overlays that rest on the mid-foot as well as the mudguards, while beige hits apply to the heels and muted blues cover the toe tips. Down below, the midsoles split between white in the rear and a mauve-like skin in the forefoot, all of which are complemented by a minty green exposed foam piece in the lower heel.
