Sony’s ‘Ghostwire: Tokyo’ Gameplay Trailer Showcases an Eerie, Supernatural City
Arriving on Windows and PlayStation 5 next month.
Sony has given fans an in-depth look at Ghostwire: Tokyo with a preview of nearly 10-minutes of gameplay. Developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda, the upcoming game explores Tokyo after it’s been taken over by supernatural forces with the entire population vanishing.
“In Ghostwire: Tokyo, you’ll harness an arsenal of powerful abilities through a mystic art known as ethereal weaving, channeling raw ether such as wind, fire and water,” the trailer narrates.
From a first-person perspective as protagonist Akito, players can use psychic and paranormal abilities to defeat the otherworldly creatures that are haunting the city. The game’s extremely detailed landscape features both the modern city and older buildings and shrines.
Ghostwire: Tokyo was originally slated to debut last year, but like many titles, had its release pushed back. The game will now launch on Windows and PlayStation 5 on March 25.
