While the realm of footwear collaborations is home to an excess amount of brands, few are able to execute projects as tastefully as JJJJound. The Montreal-based design agency and digital mood board has garnered a cult following for crafting minimal and versatile sneaker renditions, and it will be reuniting with New Balance for yet another team-up this month. After linking up for a navy 990V4 iteration in October 2021, the two entities have reconvened to announce the latest JJJJound x New Balance 990V3 MADE “Olive” collaboration.

This installment is a follow-up to the duo’s 990V3 collab from 2018, and it departs from the neutral-heavy arrangement for a palette more aligned with the Spring season. JJJJound makes use of a tonal, olive hue as the leading component as it splashes it across the breathable mesh underlays and nubuck overlays. Adjacent to this comes stark black N logos on the sides along with creamy laces and reflective panels atop the tongues and rear. JJJJound branding is printed on the heels and shoe inserts for subtle flair. ENCAP midsoles are found in the lower half and come styled with white, cream and silver color-blocking.

Check out a detailed look at the pair above and note that these will be dropping via JJJJound come February 24 at 12pm EDT and on March 3 via select New Balance retailers. Retail price is set at $250 USD.
