A New Air Jordan 1 Mid Surfaces in Honor of the NBA's "Diamond" Anniversary
Featuring a two-toned neutral outfit.
The Jordan Brand adds another design to its series in honor of the NBA’s 75th-anniversary with the special edition Air Jordan 1 Mid “Diamond.” A number of releases have been done in celebration of the commemoration ranging from uniform collections from Mitchell & Ness and Nike to new colorways adorning classic silhouettes such as the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Fiesta,” Blazer Mid ‘77 EMB “Knicks” and Air Force 1 “Lakers” to name a few.
Taking on one of the Jumpman’s iconic designs, this latest offering is to emphasize the anniversary dubbed as “Diamond” with a clean outline of the gem sheltering the brand’s emblem over a black tongue. Rather than a colorful outfit like its predecessors, the rest of the uppers are built out with a crisp white leather base and black velvet-smooth overlays for a minimalistic two-toned finish. A white midsole sits atop a translucent rubber outsole to finish it all off.
Look out for the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Diamond” set to drop on February 9 at select retailers and Nike’s website for $135 USD.
Elsewhere in footwear, the Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Copy Paste” embraces DIY aesthetics.
