SZA Nods to Early 2000s Y2K Style With Her Next Crocs Collaboration
The R&B artist adds distressed denim patterns to the Cozzzy Sandal and Crush Clog.
SZA is on the brink of delivering her next studio album S.O.S., but before she blesses our ears with new tunes she’s taking a moment to cater to our feet by piecing together a new collection with Crocs. The R&B artist first linked up with the clog-focused company back in May to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month, and now she’s shining a light on Y2K style to deliver her takes on the Cozzzy Sandal and Crush Clog.
Both offerings serve as a love letter to early 2000s fashion trends. The Cozzzy Sandal is ornamented with furry interior lining — a fabric that will be convenient for the upcoming colder months — and come wrapped with denim print. Like her previous woodgrain Crocs, this next set also comes with playful Jibbitz™ charms that pertain to this throwback movement including a flip phone, floppy disk and puka shells. The Crush Clog is SZA’s elevated interpretation of the Crocs Classic Clog. Distressed denim graphics are also applied to the upper while the midsoles are fashioned in all-white to further echo its Y2K motif.
Starting today, cans can shoot a text message to 812-SZA-CROC for a chance to win a pair. All winners will be notified by December 5 while non-winners will be directed to enter its online raffle on December 6.
