SoleFly's Air Jordan 13 Collaboration Is Inspired by Michael Jordan's Yacht
The Miami-based retailer reimagines the classic model with powdery blue suede panels.
Art collectors, streetwear brands and cultural icons will be flocking down to Florida this week for Art Basel, and one imprint that is chiming in on all of the action with a special release is SoleFly. The Miami-based retailer is reprising its partnership with Jordan Brand, this time to fashion its own Air Jordan 13 rendition inspired by one of Michael Jordan‘s favorite pastimes — yachting.
SoleFly makes a noticeable adjustment to the pair’s upper build. The pockmarked panels are retained, but they’ve swapped out their usual leather fabric for a buttery suede. This component is dressed in a powdery blue hue — a potential nod to the aquatic waters that the six-time champion boats over in his leisure time — and complemented by soft gray hits that surround its signature hologram on the heels and make up the mudguards. The throat have been changed to a creamy ripstop material. In terms of branding, you can find that the tongues split their branding between a Jordan emblem on the right side and SoleFly’s logo on the left.
Peep a closer look at the clean makeup above and note that they will be releasing via SoleFly on December 2 alongside matching apparel and in select European retailers on December 3.
Elsewhere in sneakers, the Air Jordan 1 Low Golf “Purple Smoke” has been revealed.
