Detailed Look at a Golden OVO x Air Jordan 8 Sample Gifted to Drake
Which silhouette should Jordan Brand cover in gold for The Boy next?
Whether it be new collaborations, seeding kits or extremely rare samples, Nike keeps Drake laced with an endless supply of heat. As the superstar artist’s NOCTA x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Love You Forever” finally hits shelves this week, English Sole has popped up with a comprehensive breakdown of yet another rare sample pair. Following the boutique’s reveal of a sample fragment design x Air Jordan 1 that featured Louis Vuitton leather for Kim Jones, another all-gold Air Jordan for Drake has surfaced. Said to have been crafted in 2017 for the artist, we’ve yet to spot him rocking the pair.
Previously outfitting the Air Jordan 11 in gold for Drake, Jordan Brand has also brought a gold foil upper to the Air Jordan 8. Despite being tagged as an OVO pair, the owl does not make an appearance on this gilded look. The monochromatic upper sports tonal embroidery for its branding while the sole unit features an icy translucent outsole with golden glitter and a white midsole that matches the shoe’s trim.
Given the pair’s sample designation and age, it is all but certain that this colorway will never hit shelves.
