In the World Cup semi-final showdown between France and Morocco, the former dominated the pitch to claim their victory with a final score of 2-0. The European squad will advance to the World Cup Final on Sunday to battle it out against perennial powerhouse Argentina. This marks France’s third trip to the 2022 FIFA World Cup Final, and will be an opportunity for them to repeat as champions after taking home the hardware back in 2018 when they defeated Croatia 4-2.

Five minutes into this semi-final match, Les Bleus’ Theo Hernandez kicked in an acrobatic volley after a goalmouth scramble put the squad up 1-0. Then in the 79th minute, Kylian Mbappé attracted a group of Moroccan defenders in the box before shoveling a pass over to Randal Kolo Muani who knocked in another goal from close range on his first touch of the match. Morocco made a valiant effort in piling on the pressure, but they were no match for the craftiness and outstanding defense of the Frenchman.

Lionel Messi and the rest of the Argentina team members will be seeking out their nation’s first World Cup title since 1986. Both teams are set to face off on Sunday, December 18 at 10am EDT, so be sure to tune in.
