STAFFONLY's PUMA PWRFRAME OP-1 Blurs Real and Virtual
Arriving in “WIREFRAME,” “X-RAY,” and “METAL FUZZ.”
PUMA and STAFFONLY have launched a new collaboration, looking to meld futuristic virtual designs into the real world. Modeled after PUMA’s avant-garde PWRFRAME OP-1 sneaker, the upcoming pairs arrive in three distinct colorways — each with its own story.
The progressive PWRFRAME OP-1 silhouette features multi-layered uppers consisting of TPU mesh and textiles with radical heel detailing, choppy paneling, and contrast stitching. Below are CMEVA midsoles equipped with heel-to-midfoot PWRFRAME technology. Kicking off the trio is the milky white “X-RAY” colorway which arrives in monochromatic semi-translucent uppers and cutouts which give the shoe a skeleton-like look — appearing to have popped right out of the 3D printer.
Pictured in a melting microwave is the “METAL FUZZ” iteration which is fitted with grey mesh uppers, black soles, and silver metallic accents. Rounding out the trilogy is the “WIREFRAME” design featuring an all-over print of a 3D warped grid which represents the loading screen of a virtual game.
The STAFFONLY x PUMA PWRFRAME OP-1 pack is set to release via official PUMA channels on December 3.
Elsewhere in footwear, Nike Air Max 97 “Kiss My Air” surfaces in safari prints.
