PLATEAU STUDIO Embraces the Winter Blues for FW22
Picturing raw emotions in a turbulent city.

Similar to its SS22 collection campaign which looked to encapsulate summer nostalgia, Taiwanese imprint PLATEAU STUDIO partners with its friends in Tokyo once again for a special lookbook capturing the emotions of early winter.
Highlighted in the shots are a range of outwear options and bottoms, from faux-snakeskin biker jackets and oversized panda sweater jerseys to lightweight utility pants and printed denim. Styling the shots are friends of PLATEAU STUDIO from all walks of life including Isamu, the film director from PERIMETRON, Shohei, who some may remember from the reality series Terrace House, DJ Disk, model Mao, and others. Below, brand manager Jerry Chien explains the backstory behind the lookbook.
We wanted to demonstrate feelings of early winter blues in a natural way by allowing the models to dictate their own movements and expressions. Each photo represents the person’s own particular mood at this moment of the season. Some are cool and collected while others are lively. In this busy and turbulent city, we did our best to show our truest emotions. We are not the people in the photos, but I hope that through the images, viewers can be more in touch with their current emotional projections. Chance encounters between people are the only way to heat up this cold winter.”
