To further capture the essence of its SS22 collection, independent Taiwanese label PLATEAU STUDIO partners with its friends in Japan for a special lookbook shot in Shibuya, Tokyo. The lookbook arrives in a light-hearted and realistic aesthetic, serving as a diary of sorts.
Through viewing the shots, PLATEAU STUDIOS hopes to bring viewers along on their journey through Tokyo. The images echo the brand’s long-standing philosophy of incorporating fashion into real life and recreating the street culture and lifestyle imagery of Taipei and Tokyo.
Below is a blurb from PLATEAU STUDIO brand manager Jerry Chien that encapsulates the feeling behind the SS22 lookbook.
“On a summer night in Shibuya, street lights, shops, and izakaya signs are always so dazzling. You might find it a little crowded and hot, but not as bad as Taipei. Got out of Shibuya Station, looked at the endless shops, restaurants, and bars, and celebrated the start of the weekend with three or five friends. Hopped around countless shops and drank all the way until dawn. After leaving the last store, I was drunk and looked at the clear sky. The blue color made me feel that I had wasted my youth. This seemed to be a mutual understanding. We all drank until we couldn’t anymore and there was nowhere left to go. While still unfulfilled, we walk down the street together. Everyone is heading home in different directions but there was still a short way to go together. This is my favorite Tokyo.”
