It took 11 years since the game’s very original launch, but modders have finally managed to create a co-op multiplayer mod for Bethesda‘s critically acclaimed Skyrim. While the single-player RPG has long been celebrated by fans as one of the most iconic games in the past decade, many have longed for a multiplayer mode allowing friends to get together and quest cooperatively.
Luckily, a new mod called “Skyrim Together Reborn” will be released later this week to allow just that. However, the team behind the mod has decided not to release it in beta and instead present a full 1.0 launch, so it did say there could be some small issues.
“The mod won’t be perfect. It will occasionally crash, some quests will break, there will be bugs. This is not fixable,” explains the developers. “This is just the reality of making a multiplayer mod instead of having a massive studio like Bethesda make a multiplayer game. Still, it’s playable, it’s fun, and it’s a lot better than the old Skyrim Together mod, which was the goal of Reborn.”
For those interested, you can download the mod soon over on its website.
