Killer Mike has joined forces with Young Thug and Dave Chappelle for “Run,” marking the Run the Jewels stalwart’s first solo single in a decade.

Clocking in at almost four minutes, the No I.D.-produced cut also arrives with an accompanying music video that pays homage to the likes of Fannie Lou Hamer, Frederick Douglass, George Washington Carver, Sojourner Truth and Shirley Chisholm. “All these people, and their work and the energy they left as inspirations, that have bettered this country, not just bettered my community for Black people,” Killer Mike told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. “But better the country that’s called America. Every person I named has made such a solid contribution to this country that they should never be forgotten by any American citizen.”

The rapper also publicly voiced his support for Young Thug and Gunna, who are currently facing heavy federal charges. “I want to stand in solidarity with Black art. So keep your hands off Black art. I want to standard solidarity was Gunna and Thug, who are presumed innocent, according to our constitution, unless proven guilty. They’re presumed innocent, man,” Killer Mike stated. “And the two men that I spent two weeks with while we’re recording that were leaders of working people. They were the leaders of creative people. There were the leaders of people in that room who would not have had jobs and opportunity. What I did not see was the leader of a gang in that room. What I witnessed in there was musicians making music, making opportunities for people, making money, creating these imaginary characters, which we are.”
