The Reebok Question Mid "Dr. J" Receives a Release Date
A commemorative take on Allen Iverson’s first signature shoe.
Allen Iverson‘s first signature shoe, the Reebok Question Mid, will be returning later this month to pay homage to the legendary hall of fame basketball player Julius Erving, also known as Dr. J. Back in the 2002 NBA All-Star Game, Iverson famously donned the number 6 to pay homage to the high-flying Sixers superstar.
The upcoming pairs call back to that moment, with the heel numbers of the rear outsoles displaying Dr. J’s number 6 instead of Iverson’s number 3.
Arriving in a white leather base and loose-knit mesh tongue, the classic silhouette features red and gold accents across the various Reebok vector logos and eyestay lettering. Additional highlights include a colorful graphic of Allen Iverson, eluding to his SLAM Magazine cover from 1999, in which he ditched his iconic cornrows for an afro similar to Dr. J’s. Rounding out the design are white midsoles and icy blue translucent outsoles.
The Reebok Question Mid “Dr. J” is set to arrive on July 22 at Reebok’s website and select retailers for $160 USD.
