CASIO has unveiled the G-SHOCK DW-6900RH-2JR in a limited edition design in collaboration with NBA player Rui Hachimura. The two previously crossed paths in 2020, when G-SHOCK released a special edition G-Plated GST-B100RH timepiece to commemorate Hachimura’s developing career with the Washington Wizards.

Based on the popular DW-6900 series, the DW-6900RH-2JR features a base and is adorned all over with icy blue mountain graphics across the bezels and bands. The graphic pays homage to Hachimura’s roots, as it’s based on the snowy Tateyama mountain range in Toyama, the prefecture where Hachimura was born in.

Hachimura’s iconic ”Black Samurai” logo is etched on the caseback. The logo incorporates the Kanji character for 8, which is pronounced as “hachi” to correspond to both his surname and jersey number. The front of the watch displays a contour map-inspired dial that also reveals Hachimura’s logo when the EL backlight is activated.

Built with shock and water resistance up to 20 ATM, the DW-6900RH-2JR is priced at ¥17,700 JPY (approximately $128 USD). It’s due to be released on November 25 and can be found on CASIO Japan’s website.
