emmi Reunites With Reebok for a Zig Kinetica 2.5 Collaboration
In similar fashion to its past collabs, the Japanese womenswear imprint leans on a minimal palette.
Collaborations have been a primary focus of Reebok in recent memory. The brand has captured the attention of sneakerheads across the globe for its projects made with the likes of Pyer Moss and SOUTH2 WEST8, and now its building on that impetus with the reveal of its latest Zig Kinetica 2.5 with emmi. This marks the second team-up between the Japanese womenswear imprint and Boston sportswear brand, the first of which entailed a minimal Instapump Fury.
The design language of emmi leans on the understated side of the spectrum, and that is also put on display for this installment. Synthetic upper halves are done up in a “Vector Navy” hue, and feature tonal, psychedelic patterns that run along the toe boxes, sides and collars. Reebok logos adorn the sides in a faded black hue, and are more visible when viewing the kicks up-close. Additional accents are present on the toggled laces which are styled in flecked fashion and as well as the heels which feature bold yellow Vibram branding. Chunky sole pieces are also splashed with more “Vector Navy” paint and are stamped with more Reebok branding towards the rear.
Reebok Japan has these available right now for ¥17,600 ($124 USD).
