Reebok has gradually expanded its list of collaborators as it continues to connect with designers, brands and franchises from around the world. Adding to this, the American sportswear brand is now teaming up with Japanese clothing brand SOUTH2 WEST8. For SOUTH2 WEST8, inspiration for its offerings stems from themes of fishing, connecting to its roots in the northern Japanese prefecture of Hokkaido. With 20 years of business under its belt this year, it now takes on Reebok’s Zig Kinetica II Edge.
Staying true to SOUTH2 WEST8’s essence, this colorway of the Zig Kinetica II Edge pulls from “Tenkara” fly fishing. A textile camo upper is joined by soft green suede overlays to create a look that embraces the outdoors while remaining fashion-forward. Supporting this, the gray and black midsole utilizes Floatride Fuel cushioning, resting atop an anti-slip Vibram Ecostep lugged outsole in black. Various co-branding elements can also be spotted throughout the pair to complete the look.
For those interested in grabbing a pair, the SOUTH2 WEST8 x Reebok Zig Kinetica II Edge will be available November 5 via SOUTH2 WEST8 and select retailers in Japan at a price of $170 USD. Following this, a global release is scheduled for November 18 via Reebok and select retailers worldwide.
