Drake Dedicates His Nike Air Force 1 "Certified Lover Boy" To His Mom and Their Favorite Book
“I long for the days when it was this simple.”
As Drake‘s Nike Air Force 1 “Certified Lover Boy” preps for its supposed December release date, the rapper took a moment to dedicate the shoe to a very special woman in his life: his mom, Sandi Graham.
Taking to Instagram to share the dedication, The Boy uploaded photos of the collaborative shoe along with the 1986 children’s book Love You Forever, which is written by Robert Munsch and illustrated by Sheila McGraw. “Love You Forever AF1 dedicated to my incredible mother and our favourite book,” he wrote in the caption. Drake also shared a special note for his mom which read, “For my mother, Your perennial care and nurturing is never lost on me. This book is the time capsule of our love. I long for the days when it was this simple. — Aubrey.”
The Nike Air Force 1 “Certified Lover Boy” is now expected to drop on December 2, but has received multiple rumored release dates since its leak in July 2021. An official release date for the highly-anticipated shoe has never been announced, and fans are now holding on to the hope that the model will be on their feet just before 2022 ends.
