Ryan Gosling Is Gucci's Latest Muse

Becoming the new face of Gucci’s new travel-centric Valigeria campaign.

Ryan Gosling is officially the next handsome Hollywood bloke to be the face of Gucci‘s latest “Valigeria” campaign. The star follows in the footsteps of Jared Leto, Harry Styles and Lana Del Rey who have appeared as the Italian luxury brand’s ambassadors.

The newest campaign centers around Gucci’s travel accessories, spotlighted by Gosling. Shot by photographer Glen Luchford, Gosling models various pieces from the Gucci Savoy collection. While the pieces and the clothing come from Gucci’s Spring 2022 collection, the setting of the campaign is inspired by the ’70s traveling aesthetic. In one of the images, Gosling is seen pushing the Gucci emblazoned luggage onto a bell boy trolley in a waist-cinching suit, while in another, he wears a Hawaiian shirt in the back of a vintage car surrounded by the luggage. In other campaign imagery, Gosling appears to be in a motel with his Gucci luggage, killing time and making phone calls.

Creative director Alessandro Michele handpicked Gosling to be the brand’s new ambassador, essentially announcing that the actor is a fit for Gucci’s ideals. The designer once said, “Travel for Gucci was never purely physical. Gucci is the brand that accompanied the artists, writers, actors, and directors of Hollywood on their journeys…” and it appears with Gosling, he has found exactly that.
