In 2020, Plessume stepped onto the scene as an experimental project challenging the status quo with its take on bootlegging with purpose. Pulling from Rick Owens’ bootleg of the Nike Dunk, the Rick Owens Dunk, a sneaker that now fetches thousands after it was archived following a cease-and-desist letter from Nike, Plessume kicked things off by introducing the Slam High 001. Now, following the launch of the brand’s cargo sock, the Slam High 002 is set to release.

Continuing to push the model to its limits, Plessume has introduced several key elements to the Slam High 002. Its upper returns in a familiar form with custom in-house leathers including supple lamb leather throughout the interior while a smooth cow leather outfits the white and grey exterior. New to the Slam High 002, a hard rubber sole carries Plessume branding. Rounding out the specifications, Excella hardware ensures durability at the shoe’s medial zipper.

Release for the Plessume Slam High 002 “Grey” is set for October 14 via Plessume at a price of $265 USD. This time around, the brand has opted to prepare its stock in advance, meaning orders will ship immediately as opposed to a pre-order. However, quantities are noted to be limited.
