The Second Drop of the TOTORO x PORTER Collab Is on the Way
Launching October 19, with a special pop-up event in Japan.

Since 1988, Studio Ghibli’s pioneering creation My Neighbour Totoro has resonated with youth and adults around the world. An extension of that impact resulted in last year’s design collaboration with PORTER, and now for Fall/Winter 2022, both companies have announced their second drop of the TOTORO x PORTER collaboration – launching on October 19.
Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki’s beloved animated characters (Totoro, Dust Bunnies and Cat Bus), have been re-created in a wearable material format, with each animation’s likeness appearing on separate PORTER pieces in the form of acrylic – non-animal – fur.
Accessory items include a graphic print backpack with fur-lined zip pocket closure, a full-fur double-zip handbag, a top handle bag, a crossbody bag and a half-fur half-graphic tote bag. Colorways for the graphic print include navy blue and sky blue cloud depictions from the animation’s “Night Forest” scenery.
Additionally, limited-edition plush toys and a furry keychain are also available in this second merch drop.
Launching on October 19, the new TOTORO x PORTER collaboration will be available at Tokyo’s Isetan Shinjuku department store, with a special pop-up event taking place on the second floor’s TRUNK SHOW. Event access and further details can be found on the store’s website.
