Creatives Take Control With le PÈRE’s “Another Version of Myself” Collection II
Consisting of three collaborative capsules.

Emerging label le PÈRE first hopped on the scene this past April for the SS22 season with its artful, yet casual “Another Version of Myself” collection. Aside from luxe fabrics and subtle graphic designs, the brand finds its power in not only connecting with but elevating international creatives. Now, the brand has returned with its “Another Version of Myself” Collection II, which consists of three collaborative capsules.
By enlisting a range of multidimensional creatives across the fields of music, photography, graphic design, fashion and more, le PÈRE’s offerings harbor an overwhelmingly cosmopolitan touch. First up in the collaboration roster is Korean New Zealander and Rhee Studio founder, Cherry Kim, who offers up graphic designs on a range of vintage workwear, hoodies and more. Kim’s designs for the collaboration are inspired by her experiences watching Korean wrestling matches. Serving as an homage to her culture, the designs are hand-drawn and then digitized across the respective pieces.
“My father and grandparents loved watching Korean wrestling or Ssireum shows and I remember moments of familial warmth being juxtaposed with intense tussling and guttural sounds from the TV,” said Kim. “The motif of this collaboration is a wrestling scene – warped, tangled imagery of intertwined limbs wrangling for dominance, while somehow lending an unlikely intimacy.”
Next up is the capsule by Portuguese and NYC-based graphic designer Bráulio Amado, who has worked with the likes of Frank Ocean, Roisin Murphy and more. As an extension of Amado’s colorful and playful designs, the creative posits 70s and 80s-inspired football jerseys. Crafted from Italian fabric, the jerseys feature an oversized and cropped fit with vibrant shades of brick, sky blue, powder pink, lavender, pistachio green and more.
“I feel like as a Portuguese person, football (ugh… soccer) was/is everywhere. The country stops for everyone to watch the matches, especially when it’s the national team playing — including myself, even though I never really cared about sports that much,” said Amado. “Re-interpreting the traditional kit with le PÈRE was an exercise of remembering how bad I was at it, thus the more playful and quirky take on it.”
Completing the trio of collaborative capsules is Noah Baker, who has worked with entities like Atlantic Records, The New York Times and Elara Pictures. For his contribution, Baker traverses weather maps across a selection of coach’s jackets and camp shirts. In exhibiting his affinity for textural visual details, Baker’s designs illustrate multicolored print patterns on iridescent fabric.
