Take a First Look at the sacai x Nike Cortez
Included in the Japanese label’s FW22 collection.
Following initial rumors back in December 2021, we now have a first look at the upcoming sacai x Nike Cortez collaboration. Showing up in two colorways, the shoes unexpectedly revealed alongside sacai’s Pre-Fall Women’s and Fall/Winter 2022 Men’s collections.
The sacai x Nike Cortez is expected to release later year to continue the sneaker giant’s collaborative relationship with Chitose Abe’s sacai. The take on the classic designed by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman and introduced back in 1972 is believed to be part of the 50th-anniversary of the Nike Cortez.
The leading OG colorway of the sacai x Nike Cortez features a white leather base accented by gray suede overlays and red/blue elements. While the accompanying colorway explores darker tones with a blue leather base paired with gray suede overlays and hits of white. The updated take on the shoe continues sacai’s signature stacked design with layered overdesigned sole units marked by Zoom Air bubbles at the forefoot.
