Nike has a penchant for referencing its older archives when designing new sneakers for the present day. And with the Air Huarache continuing its hot streak of fresh new iterations in 2022, the brand has elected to dress up the classic runner with a “Sandalwood” color palette that harks back to the ACG Air Mowabb Pack from 2007.

The ACG-inspired palette is translated on these kicks to a tee. Perforated toe boxes, forefoot overlays and mid-foot overlays, all of which are made of a smooth leather are supplied with a light beige hue. Neoprene bootie that sits beneath is formed with a blue and orange accents, the former being spilled on the tongues and heels while the latter is employed on the quarter panels and interior lining. Notes of black poke out through the tongue logos and the heel counters for more contrasting, and the midsole piece is decorated with speckled wallpaper. On the inside of the shoes, you’ll find that the Air Huarache branding that adorns the insoles has been written out in classic Mowabb font.

Nike is expected to release these sometime within the coming months for the usual $120 USD price point.

In other sneaker news, on-foot images of the CLOT x Nike Dunk High have emerged.
