U.K. label YMC has returned with a first look at its Spring/Summer 2022 collection, featuring a lookbook shot by Laurence Ellis. The collection takes influence from the various subcultures and communities of the 1970s, with references to hippy groups and anti-war protestors alongside street gangs and west coast bikers.
This inspiration is translated into looser cuts and natural fabrics, with a color palette that mixes earthy greens and browns with pops of reds, blues and lilac. Stand-out features include snakeskin print pieces with a wax finish, tactile seersucker and patchwork suede. The SS22 collection also previews a continuation of YMC’s ongoing collaboration with Solovair.
The first drop from YMC’s SS22 collection is available now from the brand’s web store.
In other fashion news, Raf Simons and Fred Perry have unveiled the latest installment of their long-term collaboration with a music paraphernalia-inspired capsule.
