Miu Miu Drops Its $695 USD New Balance 574 Collaboration
First seen on the brand’s SS22 runway show, the trio of 574s are now available for pre-order.
Miuccia Prada‘s brainchild brand Miu Miu teased its New Balance 574 collaboration during last year‘s Spring/Summer 2022 runway show at Paris Fashion Week, and now one of the most unexpected collaborations of the season is available to pre-order.
Spotlighted as one of HYPEBEAST’s best shoes of SS22, the Miu Miu x New Balance 574 takes the signature shape and applies an artisan twist, presenting the sneaker in denim with raw edges that have been frayed, and will surely continue to fray upon wearing them.
Coming in “White,” “Royal Blue,” and “Colonial Beige,” each pair sports dual-branded tongue tags and a denim “N” emblem on the lateral mid-panel. A 25mm rubber sole underpins the denim reconstruction, with the “White” and “Colonial Beige” iterations sporting a gum outsole and the “Royal Blue” version coming with a gray outsole, all of which are toothed in the 574’s usual manner.
Furthermore, the blue colorway sees more distressing work the ENCAP-equipped midsole, sporting dye that’s been left uncleaned on the white rubber. Rounding out the shoe is the heel clip and New Balance branding on the rear, as well as dual-branded insoles.
