Miu Miu Teases New Balance 574 Collaborations at Paris Fashion Week

The crossover between sportswear brands and luxury houses is nothing new to the world of fashion anymore, especially when it comes to collaborative footwear offerings. We’ve seen Dior and Jordan Brand link up as well as adidas and Prada, and now, New Balance is finally hopping on the train through a joint capsule with Miu Miu.

At the Italian label’s SS22 Paris Fashion Week runway show, it dressed a handful of its models in its forthcoming New Balance 574 collaborations. Two colorways strutted down the aisle including a white and beige, both of which were designed with distressed upper builds. Both offerings allow their titular shadings to do most of the talking and cover everything from the lateral and medial walls to the heels to the toe boxes while simply sporting a tiny hit of contrasting on the co-branded tongues. The raw edges are visible atop the side panels and toe boxes and almost channel a distressed denim-esque aesthetic. Down below, the kicks are done up with angelic midsoles and rounded out with gum treading.
