Fendi has recently unveiled its Fall/Winter 2022 men’s collection at Milan Fashion Week. Taking inspiration from the elegance of the roaring twenties, Silvia Venturini Fendi has given the period a contemporary revamp by intermingling perennial classics with the modern gentleman’s wardrobe.

Traditional fabrics were paired with sartorial elegance, breaking the boundaries of formal wear with multi-shades of burgundy, mocha, taupe, cream, black and raspberry. Understated hues give room for textural exploration and bold graphic statements in this season’s silhouettes. The classic satin tuxedo trims and striped silk jacquards are scaled up to give the modern man timeless sophistication.

Roman eveningwear silhouettes are celebrated with cropped double-breasted jackets, super high-waist formal trousers and tailcoats. Nostalgic footwear including the O’Lock loafers and two-tone wingtip Chelsea boots are paired with the trousers for an avant-garde look while Fendi’s FF logo sneakers make for a dynamic aesthetic to the outfit. This season, Fendi has paired its rigid tailoring with softness by combining its suiting with elevated knitwear and leather. Blazers turn into flat capes, while scooped jackets and keyhole knits expose the clavicle for a contemporary ensemble. Additional details including 3D printed pears and diamond digital prints, shearling floral brooches, pearl chokers and crystal FF pendants are eyecatching accessories that give light to Silvia’s reimagination of the roaring twenties.
