Take a Detailed Look at the New Balance 57/40 "Refined Future"
Sporting a similar deconstructed makeup as the 2002R “Protection Pack.”
After the release of the 2002Rs “Protection Pack” in collaboration with Extra Butter as well as its own trio of colorways, New Balance applied the deconstructed look on the 57/40 model in a neutral palette. The Boston-based sportswear brand recently graced the internet with official photos of its latest design.
Mimicking the Sea Salt and Munsell white makeup from the 2002R series, the suede uppers wrap around the shoe in a jagged fashion over a nylon toe box, tongue and ankle collar. The lateral “N” logo camouflages into the quarters with pops of a sandy beige mesh adding subtle contrast. A bold red hue details the tongue’s branding label while the heel counter is sealed with a midnight blue rubber mold. A chunky aged midsole outfits below the shoe in a wavy manner and is capped off with a white rubber outsole.
The New Balance 57/40 “Refined Future” is reported to release in October at select retailers and on the brand’s website.
Elsewhere in footwear, Alpha Industries reworked the New Balance 574 with militaristic flair.
