As a brand that can always be relied upon to push creative boundaries, South Korean eyewear designers Gentle Monster unveils its multi-sensory installation that showcases its debut collaboration in this year’s Moncler Genius Project. Taking place in Seoul, and live-streamed to a global audience, Gentle Monster’s foreboding installation is entitled “SWIPE” and serves as a response to our culture’s relationship with social media, emotions and our growing detachment from one another. The piece aims to break down the walls digital connections create by bringing genuine human emotions into the online realm through highly visual and auditory experiences, that were brought to life with original soundscapes created by South Korean artists GRAYCODE and jiiiiin.

During the livestream, viewers were able to catch glimpses of the collection itself, that features apparel inspired by Moncler’s signature aesthetic and Gentle Monster’s specialty: concept eyewear pieces. Carrying a sleek black finish throughout the range, the Moncler and Gentle Monster Collection contains four totally new eyewear designs as well as complete womenswear and menswear looks.

Check out the images from the installation above and to discover more head to the Gentle Monster and Moncler site.
