Over the course of the Fall/Winter 2021 seasons, Jordan Brand can certainly get fired up as the imprint determined to push out a large crop of new retro footwear releases. One of the offerings that is slated to get delivered this Fall is the Air Jordan 5 “Blue Bird”, and after being revealed via early looks, the kicks have now emerged by way of official imagery.

The shoes adhere to somewhat of an icy motif and channel the spirit of the UNC Tar Heels — Michael Jordan‘s collegiate hoops squad. Instead of making use of the Air Jordan 5‘s customary leather uppers, the brand’s design team switched gears and wrapped a majority of the base in a smooth suede. Everything from the suede panels to the mid-foot netting to the eye stays to the interior liners are lined in a “Blue Graphite” hue. Laces and Jumpman logos on the tongues and lower heels are also swathed in the same hue while the tongues are backdropped in reflective material. Down below, “Metallic Silver” notes coat the midsole spikes and heel molds while the treading brings everything together with an icy exterior.

Early reports have these releasing on October 7 for $190 USD, but Nike hasn’t confirmed this yet.
