Nike is set to release the Dunk Low in a familiar “Goldenrod” colorway. Created for the Iowa Hawkeyes in 1985 as part of Nike Basketball‘s “Be True to Your School” pack, revitalized in 1999 by the Dunk High “Wu-Tang,” skate-ified in 2005 by the SB Dunk High “Iowa” and brought into the present day by 2020’s Dunk High “Varsity Maize” plus 2021’s Air Jordan 1 “Pollen,” to name a few, the black and yellow “Goldenrod” color scheme has lived many lives across the Nike Sportswear, Nike SB and Jordan Brand spectrum, but this marks its low-cut Dunk debut.

By now, you’re probably familiar with “Goldenrod” stylings. If you’re not, however, the Dunk Low “Goldenrod” blends yellow leather mudguards, eyestays, Swooshes, collar flaps and heel tabs with black leather toeboxes, quarters and collars. Tongues are made of black nylon and embellished with yellow tag detailing plus trim. Laces are yellow as well, and a black Nike spellout appears on the heel. The insole’s Nike graphic is done up in bright orange for a unique pop of flair, and down below white midsoles team with yellow outsoles to complete the look.

At the time of writing, the Nike Dunk Low “Goldenrod” has yet to receive a release date. However, it’s likely to hit retailers this fall for $100 USD.
