ASICS Goes the Eco-Friendly Route for Its Latest GEL-LYTE III "Kind Leather Pack"
The two-piece capsule is designed with sustainable materials.

It’s certainly an impressive feat if a sneaker can still be sold on the shelves thirty years after it was first released. And that’s the case for ASICS and its classic GEL-LYTE III which is currently in the midst of celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2021. The model was recently unveiled in a duo of sporty colorways, but now it’s further advancing its Summer roll out with a two piece “Kind Leather Pack”.
The inspiration behind this capsule’s namesake is the sustainability factor as each iteration’s upper half is engineered with recycled materials. Two colorways are included in this assemblage — a “Grey” pair and an “Ivory” offering. Both takes make use of their nominal hues to cascade over the eco-friendly leather underlays while angelic finishes are lent to the interior lining and entire bottom pieces. Branding is found via the embroidered “GEL-LYTE III” hits that appear on the lateral heels as well as the ASICS hits on the heels, all of which arrive with a tonal aesthetic.
