Richardson Celebrates a Return to Life for FW21

As life’s new normal emerges, Richardson wants to celebrate everything this evolving process would entail for its fall/winter 2021 collection. The collection is inspired by party culture such as early 90s downtown New York and the renowned Studio 54, in order to showcase feelings of euphoria.

Although light-hearted fun serves as the crux of the collection, it is exhibited through a number of reworked utilitarian essentials. As such, the collection comes to life through multiple small series. The Quilted Blanket series recognizes club doormen who would wrap themselves in packing blankets to brace the bite of NYC’s winter wind. The Hunting series takes on a tactical approach featuring RealTree camo, reflective 3M print, paracord accessories and more.

The collection also introduces a couple of new sweatsuit styles which move from wild to military-inspired. The XTC series showcases ecstasy pill graphics with Richardson branding, while the Combat series harbors a darker military aesthetic. One of the highlights of the collection is a black padded two-piece set that features Richardson branding on the bomber-style jacket. Beyond the new pieces, the brand also updated some of its staples such as the rug fleece jacket, balaclava and the corduroy suit and pants in new colorways. Richardson’s down jacket now features a tartan edition with a waterproof Gore-Tex membrane.

To complement the pieces, the brand crafted a number of versatile accessories that also have real-world applications. The accessories include a clamp necklace, club whistle, pill case keychain and a spoon necklace.
