All black everything.

Back in May, the Niels van Roij and Jan-Pieter Kroezen-co-helmed automotive design company Heritage Customs unveiled the “Valiance” — its rusted-out take on the new Land Rover Defender — and now it returns with a one-off, hand-built custom version designed exclusively for the Dutch presenter and actor Winston Gerschtanowitz.

Based on the Defender 110 P400e (simply put, the five-door iteration with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a 105kW electric motor), the car is good for 398 HP and 472 lb-ft of torque, resulting in a 0-60 MPH time of 5.6 seconds. For this custom iteration, the powertrain and engine have not been fettled with, but plenty else inside and out has been — with no expense spared.

Finished in a classy “Santorini Black” paint job, the Defender now sits on 22” diamond-cut “Space Cowboy” rims, while exterior upgrades such as subtle over-fenders were added to the body alongside the now-painted bumpers, side cladding, and bonnet diamond plates.

Inside, you’ll find black leather wrapping almost every surface to match the “Santorini Black” exterior, while elements such as the dashboard, door handles, and lower speaker covers were also painted in the signature black hue. In contrast to leather, Alcantara was used for the seats, door cards, upper speaker covers, and dashboard, while contrasting white stitching frequently appears. Rounding out the interior is the laser engraved Heritage Customs logos that adorn the headrests, making for a tactile aesthetic.

A custom build such as this takes around one-and-a-half months from start to finish. Take a look at Gerschtanowitz’s example above, and find out more online.
