Carhartt WIP and Civilist Unite For Skate-Inspired Summer Capsule
The Berlin imprint has its say on classic Carhartt silhouettes.
Following the unveiling of its Fall/Winter collection last month, Carhartt WIP has linked up with Berlin-based skate shop Civilist for a playful nine-piece capsule collection for Summer 2021.
The collaboration sees the Berlin imprint — who have teamed up with the likes of Nike SB, Vans, Converse CONS, Stüssy in the past — take staple Carhartt WIP pieces like jersey goodies and single-knee pants and emblazon them with hand-drawn smiley face graphics that then become the collaboration’s key motif.
Short-sleeved shirts and a set of three decks have also been given a touch of technicolor, as a warped 3D iteration of the motif is found on a unique kaleidoscopic background.
Button-down shirts, script logo T-Shirts and a co-branded neck pouch round out the collection, arriving in an array of muted colors to offer up a series of more subtle looks.
