Blondey McCoy Teases New Adidas Collab and Thames MMXX Skateboard Decks
Showcasing a visual following McCoy with Ludvig Håkansson and Jarrad Carlin.
Multi hyphenate Blondey McCoy, along with fellow skaters Ludvig Håkansson and Jarrad Carlin, have filmed a video teasing the launch of a new adidas collaboration as well as the release of a series of skateboard decks for THAMES MMXX.
The London-based brand owner, pro skater, artist and model is no stranger to collaborating with the German sportswear house as the adidas Superstar has seen 5 colorways in the past few years with all bearing a translucent TPU build. Moving on from the highly coveted model, the duo took on another iconic silhouette of the Gazelle as they utilize slices of other designs. Pairing with the tooling of the Superstar and tongue of a Wensley, the new indoor shoe features a soft navy blue base lined with the Three Stripes and toe cap in a glossy black hue.
Filmed and edited by Sirus F. Gahan, the visual entitled TERRA FIRMA. follows the three skaters around London as they sport Blondey’s former and latter adidas designs around London. Also highlighted in the video is THAMES MMXX latest string of deck designs which displays the images of ancient Egyptian artifacts such as a stucco sculpture of Akhnaton, a limestone and crystal bust of Nefertiti, a death mask of Amenophis III, the Salt Head, and the boy king, Tutankhamun. Lining up the series of gold foiled decks together will form a pentaptych of the Valley of the Kings.
