Damian Lillard and Shaquille O'Neal Collide on this Special adidas x Reebok Shaqnosis "Damenosis"
Dame D.O.L.L.A. puts his spin on Shaq Diesel’s throwback signature model.
Damian Lillard and Shaquille O’Neal have an ample amount of history. The former may be an All-NBA point guard for the Portland Trail Blazers while the latter is a retired Basketball Hall of Fame center and current NBA on TNT host who had stints with the Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics, but the two have crossed paths multiple times, ranging from 2019’s strangest rap beef to a special take on the adidas Dame 7. Now, Dame D.O.L.L.A. and Shaq Diesel have been brought together once again for a special “Damenosis” take on O’Neal’s most famous Reebok signature shoe: the Shaqnosis.
Dressed in the red and black of Lillard’s Portland Trail Blazers, this unexampled take on the Shaqnosis uses its swirling concentric circles to surround a Reebok logo on the lateral quarter and an adidas hit on the medial quarter. The top three eyestays are presented in a colorful mix of red, yellow and white, Shaq’s Dunkman logo is done up in silver directly below the laces and the heels spotlight the shoe’s most interesting detail: co-branded hits, namely Shaq’s spellout logo on the left foot and Lillard’s adidas Basketball “D” graphic on the right. Red, black and silver midsoles loaded with DMX cushioning complete the look.
Likely one of the last adidas x Reebok shoes we’ll ever see — as adidas recently sold Reebok to Authentic Brands Group for $2.5 billion USD — this co-designed Shaqnosis will release at European retailers like Overkill come September 1, and a US release is tentatively scheduled for October 19. Its MSRP is set at $160 USD.
