CHIMI Launches Running-Focused ACTIVE Capsule
Reworking two mainline frames into performance items.
After expanding its ACTIVE line with the arrival of a snorkel, Swedish eyewear label CHIMI has now revealed the latest installment of the performance line. The all-new running capsule features a selection of lightweight frames, which have been designed for everything from low-impact jogs to high-intensity sprints.
The ACTIVE: Running collection features new interpretations of CHIMI’s core frames. The 01 is finished with high-contrast lenses, an adjustable rubber nose pad, and comes in at just 25.23g, while the 04 is also a lightweight version — just 27.95g — of a mainline frame. Both the 01 and 04 come in either grey or red with matching lenses, or black and white with yellow lenses. They both also feature a detachable strap and adjustable waist pouch.
Launching the running collection, founder Charlie Lindström said, “I have always been passionate about sports, especially skateboarding and snowboarding. But as I’ve gotten older and busier, running just naturally became part of my day-to-day. It is meditation for me, and deeply personal.”
The ACTIVE: Running collection is available now from the CHIMI web store, with both frames priced at $150 USD.
