Jameela Jamil Is Joining the MCU
The British actress has been cast as a villain in an upcoming Disney+ series.

Jameela Jamil – the British actress best known for her role in U.S. comedy The Good Place – has been confirmed as the latest talent to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Variety reports that Jamil has joined the cast of the upcoming series She-Hulk, which is slated to arrive on Disney+ next year.
According to the report, Jamil will be taking the role of the show’s primary antagonist, Titania. The character is an existing villain within the MCU, a former wrestler possessed of super-human strength. In the comics, she has frequently appeared as the primary rival of She-Hulk.
Not much is yet known about the series, beyond some initial casting confirmations: Tatiana Maslany, best known for her work in Orphan Black, will be taking the title role. Mark Ruffalo is set to make an appearance as Bruce Banner, alongside Tim Roth, who will play Abomination, another villain.
The first season will run for ten episodes, as part of the MCU’s Phase Four. The executive producer and president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, has confirmed that the show will be lighter in tone than other instalments, describing it as a “half-hour legal comedy.”
