Timex has collaborated with LA vintage specialist Blaine Halvorson for the latest chapter in the watch brand’s American Documents imprint.
Halvorson’s MadeWorn brand, which handmakes vintage revival clothing using sustainable materials, has applied its knowhow in distressing items to a new special edition Timex.
While the watch features a bisected, black and white dial signifying the split between night and day, MadeWorn’s craftsmen has spent the past 18 months mechanically ageing the watches, using parts and materials sourced in America, to imbue each example with its own unique patina from its distressed 41mm stainless steel case to its “aged Waterbury brass” stamped caseback coin.
The watch is water resistant to 30m, is secured on an aged leather strap and, as with every American Documents piece, the uses a Swiss-made quartz movement.
Elsewhere in watches, MB&F founder makes $2,100 USD watch available only to friends of the brand.
